Sunday Moments – Marion Brewer
Every year there is a slew of articles lamenting how Americans are less religious than ever before. Yet many people still have a Sunday routine – be it church, brunch or just going for a run. For several Sundays I walked around New York during the hours of most religious services – 9 to 11 a.m. – observing how people spent their day of rest. Though the churches seemed emptier, what I found is that people are still driven to gather and reflect, whether it be around the table at a diner or sitting in a park.
