Class Trip to Photoville

This past weekend we got out of the classroom and went to see the awesome photography mashup which is Photoville located at Brooklyn’s Pier 5 in Dumbo.  As our class nears its halfway point we’ve started to shift gears and begin thinking about our final projects.  Photoville was a great way to see what’s new in photography and allow the students to start thinking about what their final project will look like.

We were lucky to meet the artist Douglas Ljungkvist  who gave us a great lecture about his work and process while showing us his most recent project Ocean Beach.  We spent some time reviewing the other great artist, vendors, and exhibitions.  We finished up class at the Photoville beer garden with a discussion about our final project themes and ideas.
