Sidewalk Moments – Ross Margelefsky

Living in New York, we encounter hundreds of people every day. I originally intended to capture candid portraits of New Yorkers in order to illustrate their intrinsic personalities that we can’t appreciate in the fleeting moment as we pass on the street. What I ended up capturing was the characters that they create for themselves and project to others – the masks that we wear when we know that others are watching.
